Finish for F&S!

I finished Vonna's square yesterday! I can't show it just yet, I'd like it to be a surprise for Vonna. It's an adaptation of one of her favorite designers. I still have to cross stitch my name block, but the design one is finished. Hip, hip, hooray!

School went fine today, I am so tired, my feet hurt. We feed 1600 little people today. All the new kindergarten kids are so tiny and scared. Your heart just breaks because they want to be at school, but then they get homesick for Mommas. Bless their little pea picking hearts. It gets better for them in a couple of weeks.

We've got tomatoes coming out of the wazoo! I don't even like them. John likes them though, so he plants them. I don't mind fried green tomatoes with ranch dressing! Yummy! Once they turn red, they taste like metal to me, so that's why I don't like them.

Well, off to start on Edgar's RR.

Grats on finishing the square, I still have to finish my name block, I've been putting it off for a couple of weeks now.

Like you I'm not a big fan of tomatoes, but I've grown them in the past just to make salsa.

wow done already. I am just starting mine, I have several deadlines coming up so I am expecting several late nights. Too bad my 2 year old wasn't with you, she would be eating those red tomatoes up all day long! I have to watch her in the store cause she will take them off the shelf and start eating them, lol!

I know what you mean about "wazoo Tomatoes." On my Dad's "Plantation" the crops where enormous!!! There are just so many variations of tomato dishes one can consume in a season!! I do miss home grown. The only way I can get them sorta homegrown is visit the Wed Farmers market.
Can't wait to see what you do to my RR :)

Oh I love tomatoes, red ones, fresh from the garden, warm with some salt! Yummy! I'm sorry you don't like them. You can dice a bunch, add a can of diced black olives, a jar of salsa, and some diced green onions for a great easy fresh garden dip.
