I'm sooo sorry Cheryl!

Many of you know I'm hosting a RR, Cheryl is my buddy to mail too each time, well, I sent my RR linen thru United States Postal Service-I sent it express international-guarantee, that way I would know Cheryl would get it, well, let's just say that she hasn't got it yet, if she wants to get it, she is gonna have to pay some stupid custom fee, excise fee, and some other fee! Can you believe that? I am mortified! What did I do wrong? Sending it express made customs go haywire. I told Cheryl that if it's too much to pay, just refuse it and it should make it's way back to me. I'll just have to have Cheryl stitch mine at the end. I'm so upset about this, oh, by the way, after speaking to three people this afternoon and one international dude, they say, sorry can't help you! Well, I can put the word out that the post office stinks! UPS/Brown, here I come! FedEx here I come! I can send my goodies thru them, I'm gonna stop by the UPS store tomorrow after work to see what UPS can do for me!
So from the bottom of my heart, I'm horrified that this has happened! I'm so sorry Cheryl.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Cheryl will be able to get my linen.
What a day! Didn't make it to the bank in time, Jacob is exhausted from band practice( they practiced out in the heat today 101 degrees!) He had a bloody nose, a wasp got in the house! I had to be head cook today at school! We all hate head cook position! It's got to get better tomorrow!
Gonna go shower and stitch!

Ugh, sounds like today was a horrible day, sure hope tomorrow is better.

Tomorrow has to be better, today was the worst. I never heard of such stuff with USPS. They will probably charge you to send it back.

It can only look up from here...so sorry you had an awful day :( Sometimes things like that happen and you're a better person for it the next day :)

Donna, it's totally not your fault! We've just been incredibly unlucky here i think. Ive emailed you the latest anyway. This will truely be the most expensive RR ever LOL

Just a quick HUG and hope today is a better day!!! I do a lot of international shipping and going via UPS/FEDEX can run to $55+ for the fist pound and that is just WorldWide Expidited (the least expensive)and can take a week to get there. Good luck

Oh goodness! I hope you're having a better day today! I'm sorry to hear about your RR piece. Now I'm worried about custom issues too. If you learn more about what not to do, please let us know!

((((((((donna))))))))))) your last few days sound exhausting! I hope things settle down a bit for you.

That ugly about your RR and customs! I've always used my local Mail Mart store ... they ship all kinds of ways, and I've done tons of exchanges over the years international and I never had my recipents have to pay .. from what I've been told, it's all in how the custom form is filled out. Hope it gets worked out soon!

Yuck, it does sound like you had one awful day. It's days like that where you go to bed early just to get it over with, figuring tomorrow has to improve. I saw on her blog that the mail had really boggled it up and there was a really nasty tax on it. Hopefully she can get it back in dispute.
