A heavy heart........

Our Uncle Charles has lost his fight with cancer tonight at 6:38pm. I will say that he was a quiet man who when spoke could command an audience. He and Aunt Yvonne were married 50 or 51 years. This has been a year of many deaths in the family. Earlier this year, John's first cousin Jesse (which was Charles and Yvonne's son) died unexpectedly. Uncle Charles had only been in hospice less than a week. I will be spending my weekend preparing food and getting up every one's funeral wear. I tell you what friends, I'm tired of going to funerals. It's like pieces of my heart are slowly being torn away. Uncle Charles was a believer in Jesus and I know he is in heaven hugging his son Jesse and Jesus.
Friends, I do not do well during these hard times. I hate the funeral home visits and the wakes and then the finality of the funeral. When I love someone it is with my whole heart and being, and I struggle not to cry and sob. Friends, you all are my lifeline to help me with my distress and I thank you for all your prayers during another dark hour in our lives.
I had planned to have a happy post with pictures of band camp and I received my PS exchange, so please forgive me for not having pictures to post. It would be disrespectful to our Uncle Charles.
Tomorrow is one of my furlough days so I will be home. I'll post again tomorrow.
Praying for Aunt Yvonne,
DaisyGirl

I'm very sorry for your loss. I know what you mean about being tired of funerals. I have had periods where it seemed like I was always in a funeral home. Stay strong.

How very sorry I am to read this, Donna. I perfectly know how you feel... There was not long ago a period of several years when all the possible illnesses and death were visitin my family - and it seemed to never end. The good thing is - they end... So I wish you that this sad period ends soon... You are a very special person, I so enjoyed reading about your work. (((hugs)))
