Class almost over!

My class is almost finished. Friday will be my last day for class. Yeah! I am gonna sleep in! The one trainer suggested taking another class later this summer! Are you kidding? Nah, I told her that I'm not in any hurry to be manager. :) Much to her dismay. Oh well, I don't want to spend my whole summer going to class and having to study.
I have just about finished my square. I've worked on it all week during my lunch break at school. I still have to stitch my name square. I'm very excited about the exchange. Pins and needles!
Got the boy's report cards in the mail today. Very happy with grades. Jason managed to pull a 8o B average overall. Thank goodness. Jacob on the other hand, out of 675 students, he ranks number 32! Way to go Jacob. Straight A student, AP courses and honors student. We are hoping for scholarships to help with college.
I know Jason will most likely attend a tech like school, where as Jacob will go to college. They are so different. Jason hates school. Jacob loves it! Jacob is ready to go back now. He complains he's bored already.
Well, I guess I should start thinking about what to fix for dinner. Beef and noodles sounds good.
Till later!

Angelynn with her present!

I gave Angelynn her graduation present on Saturday. I forgot to post it to my blog. So here she is, all happy to have graduated high school.

My class was really boring today. I did learn a new tidbit of info, but it doesn't affect me, just the manager, oh well, 3 more days to go!

I started my square last night, worked on it today during my hour lunch break during my class. Would you believe the cafeteria wanted $5.95 for a ham and cheese sandwich? I'm bringing my lunch tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a great evening!

Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

We have enjoyed 2 cookouts this long weekend. Graduation day cookout, then cookout with my niece and Justin. We went to the Memorial Day festival in Dacula. It was nice walking around with my husband. I was even saluted by a veteran. I was wearing a very patriotic polo shirt. Flag colors. I thought that was so nice! Very nice gentleman. I usually march in the parade with the Boy Scouts, but this year I decided to just enjoy the parade and festival instead of working it. It was lovely.
I have a class this week. I'm not looking forward to it. It will be boring. I already know alot of the info that the class will go over. But, I'll need it on record that I took the class. Sigh.....
I hope everyone has a restful holiday!

Update on Stitching! Stash Goodies!

Here is my Workbasket reindeer, coming along nicely! I'm stitching this over one thread. It's been rough on the poor eyes, but I like it tiny. I went shopping yesterday to pick out my linen for Fair & Square. I got enough linen for 4 squares right know. I bought the last of that shade of tan. I've got my flosses bought too. I'm gonna start my square tonight! Some lucky partner will be the proud owner of this square. I love this pattern, I'm gonna stitch 2, one for me too!

My hubby has a 3 day weekend. He is so happy. We are planning a cookout for Sunday, with pina coladas to boot! :) We rented 3 movies for the long weekend also. Hope everyone stays safe, I will not be driving this weekend! Be careful! Enjoy your holiday!

Quick post for the night!

It's almost midnight, just finished baking 7 dozen cookies for my band kids. practice bright and early tomorrow at 8am. What am I thinking? I should be in bed sleeping. I have a headache, so it's hard to sleep when your head hurts. Tried to stitch, but that made it worse. So baking seemed like the thing to do. Jacob helped me before he crashed for the night.
He is learning a new instrument to march with, the French Horn, now, you have to understand, I'm not to thrilled by this change. 3 years of private clarinet lessons, to this change my hubby doesn't feel will benefit Jacob. We lost 23 band members to graduation this year. Most of all were horn players. So Harkness(band director) puts this little bug in Jacob's ear about how he needs the holes filled in the marching field lines. Jacob will still play clarinet in symphonic band and for allstate tryouts and the like, but, I think that it might be too much to expect in less than 8 weeks time for him to learn and play like he's been playing that instrument all along.
You have got to be good enough to make allstate to qualify for a scholarship for college. I don't want Jacob to ruin his chance, just to make a band director look good on the field during halftime. I've said my piece. It's been bothering me all day.
Vonna, I left a post on Fair and Square about my address. Your email address didn't work. Please send me something else so I can re add your address to my address book.
I guess I'll head off to bed.

One Happy Chicken!

School's out for summer! I'm very thrilled and jubilant! I do have to take a class next Tuesday thru Friday, some menu planning class. Yes, even the lunchroom ladies need to stay current and it helps me toward assistant manager one day.
Tomorrow morning Jacob and I will be up at the high school helping with the new upcoming 9th grade band members. They practice marching and such. I'll be figuring out uniform sizes and thinking of new flags for the color guard!

I am very disappointed that Apolo won last night. Boo hoo for Joey. I voted for him. Oh well, now I don't have anything to watch on tv. More stitching time!

Boo Boo Kitty tried to catch a baby bunny last night. Johnny and I saved the poor bunny. I can't believe he tried to catch a bunny. Boo boo is fat, so I never worried about him being able to catch something, guess I was wrong.

Well, everyone enjoy your evening! I sure am!

Work in Progress

Here is my latest project, I'm stitching this over 1 thread, I chose Weeks Dye Works Bordeaux. I'm happy with the color choice, it looks like Christmas to me. I really need to start my Christmas stitching for my Momma and John's Momma. I usually do something for them every year. It amazes me that June will be here in just a week. Then we are down to just 6 more months till Christmas! Yikes!

1 more day of school! Today was insane. I don't even know what was wrong with everyone! Rush, rush, rush. We are at the part where we are using up everything, smorgasbord dining. We will use it all up, we did run out of pepperoni pizza today. Oatmeal cookies, ran out, chips, ran out! I hate it! They look at you, like, wounded puppies. Why? They don't understand, the last week of school, we can't order any food. One more day!!!!!!!! Then I'll recoup during the summer, take my classes, then back to school in August, normally refreshed. (let's hope!)

I'm waiting for the Fair and Square to start! I can't wait!
Well, Dancing With the Stars finale comes on tonight, must be ready to watch. I hope that either Joey or Leilia win. Not Apollo! Well, signing off for tonight!
Have a great evening!
Your poor pitiful lunchroom lady!

Beware Ladies!

I have been a victim of credit card fraud. I just found out today. I have had to close that account and put flags out on all my bank accounts. It's really sad that someone has to steal instead of working for things the hard way. I am by no means rich, and it puts a hurt on me to think that what little credit or money I do have, someone is gonna ruin it for me! So...., please make sure you check your statements when they come in the mail. I usually just open the front of the letter to check the due date. Never really paid much to what was on the statement, something told me to look today! Thank goodness I did. Whoever has my credit card number must be really lonely! Not very nice company names appeared on the bill. Please pay attention. I have learned the hard way. At least most of the charges will be put back into my account. Fingers crossed!
Now on to stitching news! I need to get started on a pif! I have picked out the pattern, just need to start, hope to start tonight! Dancing With the Stars! comes on tonight, perfect time to start.
2 more days left of school! I can't wait! Summer vacation here I come!
Till later!

Sunday evening , and all calm!

Today has been such a restful day for me, even though I had 11 people over for dinner. I double invited my friend Leila and her kids plus my brother to a cookout. Then nephew showed up, then sweet Angelynn dropped by. I am hoping that my brother and Leila will hit it off. I'm trying to play cupid. Everything seemed to go well, Patrick brought flowers for Leila, she loved that gesture. I did too. Thumbs up to my brother! Hamburgers and hotdogs, homemade mac and cheese, my famous fudge cake, Jacob would eat just the frosting if I let him.
I am sending off a birthday surprise to someone soon! I hope she likes it!
My kitty Daisy is such a good kitty, she let all those kids hold and play with her today. She is wiped out! It is almost 8:30 pm here in GA. I want to stitch! So everyone have a great evening!

ps:Cheryl, glad you signed up for Fair and Square!

3 More Days Of School Left!

It is almost time for the happy dance! I am so ready for school to be out. This past week has been terrible for me at school. I'm one of the cashiers that ring up the children when they come thru the lunchroom. Since it is the end of the year, no charges are allowed. I have had to take away so many lunches that it has made me ill with parents in general. If they don't have money on their account, they cannot eat what is on the menu, they have to get a PB&J, it breaks my heart when I have to take a hamburger or taco(stuff they like) in exchange for a pbj. Thank goodness only 3 more days. I can't take too many more days of tears. Moms and Dads, please keep money on your babies accounts! There, I've said my piece. Sorry!
Now on to stitching news, I am waiting for my Fair and Square partner! I already have my pattern picked out, I need to pick up a couple of floss colors from Crescent Colors, I just haven't had a chance to get to the cross stitch shop yet. If anyone is reading, I love the design! I hope you do too!
On a more somber note, if possible, please keep my sister in law April in your prayers. April has MS, and she has gotten so worse that she no longer can walk and her hands shake so bad that she can't even cross stitch now. She is depressed really bad, down on God, she is shrinking away. Does anyone know much about MS? I'm ashamed to say that I don't really know alot about her disease, I've spent this weekend learning alittle. I'll be watching and taking care of her some this summer. Her kids are only 4 and 9. It's a shame. And her husband is not helping matters much. I certainly hope I haven't depressed you, just thought if she had little prayers sent her way, it can't help!
Will post more tomorrow! It is stitching time now!

Vonna has recently been tagged!

You don't have to do this again Vonna!

I've been tagged!

Here goes:
1.Each player must state 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2.People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.
3.At the end of your blog, you need to tag 8 people and post their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment and tell them they're tagged and to read your blog.

Drum roll please!!!!!!
1. I hate wearing a bra! (If my boobs weren't so big, I'd not wear one at all!)
2. I hum to myself. It drives my boss crazy!
3. I like to iron. I like to see the wrinkles become smooth and crisp!
4. I love pina coladas! I have been known to drink a blender pitcher full all by myself once. I didn't feel too good the next day though. haha
5. I hate doing the dishes. I made sure our new house had a dishwasher in it!
6. I told my mother after my first date that I would marry Johnny, he was the one for me! It was a blind date. My first date to boot!
7. Back when I was younger, my nickname was Bumpers!
8. Jason was suppose to be a girl, per ultrasound, I was very unhappy when a boy popped out. All I had was girl clothes, Jason wore those cute little girl clothes during the day before my hubby would come home. I couldn't stand not at least seeing the cute dresses being used, one day Jason came home early and found Jason wearing a purple flower outfit, Jason never wore those clothes again:(

Well, that's alittle about me, now who shall I tag?
I tag Anna, Vonna, Lizzy, Heidi, Julie, and Stitcherw. I know that's not 8, but the other's I would have chosen have recently been tagged!

Ms.Jetty's gift and wip!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day, my family treated me to a good day, they knew better not to forget me this year. (And yes, my boys did forget me last year!) I am a much happier momma this year.

I have been working on a present for Ms. Jetty at work, she is retiring this year. I will miss her! Her nickname for me is FlossieMay. Ms. Jetty is in her 70's. She won't tell the exact number though. I stitched her a bread cloth, I'm gonna make some homemade bread for her also. I'm also working on a little something for someone. Hope she likes it when it gets completed!

We are down to 6 days of school left! Yee haw! I can't wait! I need a vacation!

Well, Cheryl tagged me, so I'll post that next! I have to move to the other computer, most of my favs are on the other computer. I haven't figured out how to link these two computers together.

ps: These are flowers that Johnny planted for me! They are doing wonderfully!

Weekend is here!

Tomorrow is my Mother's Day Tea Party. My momma is very excited to participate in every tea party that I host. She loves it. I'm happy that I can do something for her to make her day. I have to clean the house tonight, prepare the menu, get everything ready for tomorrow morning.
Busy, busy, busy! I'm gonna put them boys to work this evening. They just don't know it yet! hahaha.
Last night was Jacob's concert at school. I'll post pictures later. I wasn't very happy with the way turned out. I struggled with the flash button, couldn't really figure it out. It is a new camera that my hubby thought we needed. I hate learning new things. sigh.
Jacob I fear will be a reckless driver. I let him practice yesterday evening backing out of the parking spot at school, the wiener thought he needed to do a doughnut! I about had a heart attack. What was this stupid kid thinking? He didn't think I'd get upset. Duh! I worry though. He is 15, wants to take the drivers test asap. After last night's performance, I feel we will be waiting awhile.
Where as my older son Jason, I can't get him behind the wheel. He's 17, he backed over my neighbors trash bin, Dad blew a fuse, needless to say, he's scared now to drive. I have one that wants to drive like a maniac and the other that won't drive to save your life! Give me strength!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day!

Here is Angelynn's grad pics/invitations!

I know that she is not my daughter, but I treat her like one. Money is tight in her household, so Karen(Angelynn's mom) asked if I could help make her invitations. This is what I came up with, they loved it! I think they look awesome. She is gonna be the only graduate there with one of a kind invitations. I used my digital camera, took a few pics, I already had the rubber stamps, we only spent $32 dollars to make her invitations. I'm happy that I was able to help them out.

I almost died when I thought they were gonna vote off Joey. Thank goodness Billy Ray's gone. He wasn't that good of a dancer. I do not want Apollo to win either. Shave off that mess on your face boy! I think Leala needs to win. Her name is most likely misspelled.

We are down to 10 days of school left. I can not wait. I want to sleep in so badly! Jacob's best friend Tommy has moved into our neighborhood. 6 houses down from us. Those boys are just besides themselves. Jason broke up with his girlfriend Casey. I'm glad they are not gonna stay together. Her parents did not like my Jason. I'm biased, but my son is the nicest young man around. New girl in the picture-Amber. As the Bennett boys wheel turns! Stay tuned!

Well, today is the day that john picks up his new glasses. So, I'm gonna sign off for now, John's on his way home from work. Must be ready to go when he gets home!

Anna, You are a sweetie! Thank you!

Look at the surprise I got yesterday! I was not expecting anything at all. Anna, I love it! It looks great on my fireplace mantel. I saw the kitty stitchery on your blog and thought it was cool. I am so pleased with your goodies that you sent me. It made my day!

Friends, Anna is something special! I know she felt bad about a certain recent exchange we both participated in, but Anna, you didn't have to! But, I'm glad I got your cat! My Moma will be green with envy! She loves cats too!

Here is the completed graduation stitchery piece for Angelynn. Now all I need to do is find a frame for it. Her graduation is May 25th. I am helping her make her invitations for graduation. I will take a picture of the completed handmade invitations when we finish them.

I am getting ready to start a Just Nan Whimzie for my Moma for Mother's Day. I am hosting a Mother's Day Tea party next weekend. Of course, I post pictures. I am so excited to host a tea party. I get to use my silver and antique tea cups and all. Well, today is Sunday, I have chores that need to be done before I can start any stitching.

Thanks again Anna! Your the best!

Tuesday afternoon and all's well!

I guess I'm gonna have to buy a new charger for my camera. I can't find the one that the boys have lost. Errr! These boys just don't understand "leave charger in kitchen drawer".
I have been stitching on Tiffany's wedding piece. I'm sure hoping the darn Justin hurries up and pops the question. I'm gonna be one unhappy person if that boy breaks my girls heart.
Is anyone watching Dancing With the Stars? I felt bad that they voted off John Ratenzberger. His name is most likely spelled incorrectly. Oh well. I'll have to pick someone else to vote for now.
My husband of 20 years needs bifocals. I helped him pick out his new frames. He is not very happy about having to wear them. I thought I was vain! haha. We pick up his new glasses this weekend. I'll hopefully be able to take pictures by then, so I'll have to sneak a picture of him in his new specs!
Our school is nice to the lunchroom staff, we have been getting little goodies all week so far. I got a flower to plant out side. A gardenia. I love gardenias.
Need to go pick up Jacob from school. He has a essay that he is working on.
Till later,
DaisyGirl
