Where've I been?

Sucked into Facebook, that's where. LOL Farmville is way to much fun, I'm trying to save up for a cat for my farm. I've been able to reconnect with old classmates and it's been great talking to them. It makes me wish..........................

I get a shot tomorrow for my hand. It better help, that's all I'm saying. I've got to dig out my swimsuit, I'm gonna start going to the indoor pool, plus dig out my contacts. I've gotta be able to see where I'm going. Since the Remicade is gonna be way too expensive to pay for, I can't afford to wipe out our savings for 1 round of meds. It's gonna cost me $5750.00. That is after insurance has paid of course. So no to that med. Bummer. So the dr. suggests low impact swimming will be good for my PsA. Heck, maybe it will help me lose some weight too. I'd love to lose 20 pounds.

I'm staying home tonight. I'm not going to the stitch-in tonight. My stomach is not happy this evening. I catch every little cold or bug from the kids at school.

Edgar, start watching your mailbox. I shipped out a prezzie to you. Michele, you too!

I've been stitching on exchanges, so no pictures!

Talk later friends!

ps:gotta check on my farm. I don't want to kill another crop! hahaha

Well, I finally did it!

I joined Facebook! Now, lets see if all those stuck up kids from high school find me. I have to admit, I didn't invite them though. most of them I couldn't stand in school anyway. hahahah
Our stitch night on Tuesday was great, we had 9 stitchers show up! Wahoo!
It's late and I've gotten sucked into the web again! Time for bed DaisyGirl!

Boo boo trigger finger!

Well friends, I am plagued by that stupid trigger finger again! :( This is the 5Th time it has reared it ugly head. I need surgery, but I will beg again for the shot just to make it subside for now. I'll be out of commission for 6 weeks. How can I stand that? I can't. I won't! So I'm hoping for relief until the summer. Before the splint was put on, I was making both Jason and Jacob massage my hand to straighten out my middle finger. It is quite painful and Motrin 800 is not helping at all. Sigh..... The doc tells me, rest, don't use it, yada yada. So we will see how it goes this week at work. Thank goodness we are off tomorrow, one more day of rest for the hand.

Look at how Boo Boo Kitty fits in that little box. Why is it that they all try so hard to sleep in something tiny like that? I know it can't be comfortable, but he looks so cute in it! No stitchy pictures today. I'm trying to work on my Easter exchange, it taking me some time though. Oh well!
Hugs for the night!

Stitching at the Shop

On Tuesdays, the shop has day or night stitch-ins. I came for the evening session. We had a blast! Let me introduce you to new friends and follow stitchers! First of is Terrie, the shop owner, and my boss! Anyone who brings chocolate for us to snack on is #1 in my book, then there's Kristine, my bosom buddy! She is a hoot! Love working with her!!! Next is Diane, who is now retired from teaching children for 35 years. Amazing! After listening to her, I wished she would have taught me math instead of Coach Albert(I flunked his Algebra class), I'm a bad person because there was one other lady, but I can't remember her name. I plead early Alzheimer's. We were there until 10pm and it was fun! So if your in GA, drop by one Tuesday night for laughs and chocolate!

I'm holding alittle bitty pin keep for Doreen at work, it was her birthday and I wanted to do alittle something nice for her. When we are paired up in the dish room, she really helps out and makes the workload manageable. I'm on the register 3 days and in the dish room the other two.
I've got my ornament stitched, just need to assemble it! I found the perfect tassel for it! Wahoo!!!!
I will soon be depositing my body in front of the fire, so friends, have a great night.
BTW, John's cousin Glendon passed away with his valiant fight with cancer. Please keep John's family in your prayers again. (Let's hope this doesn't start another year of death and gloom for us!)

Budding Designers............

Last weekend, Jacob and his pal Russell came home with fleece sweatshirts and throws. They decided that they would improvise and create a better snuggie. Let me introduce to you "Sleevies", perfectly made to fit a student's body, perfect for cold dorm rooms!
I helped sew those buggers. It's close to midnight when they say: let's sew our blankets. Well, it was fun, even though I had to re-sew Russell's sleeve arm a couple times. Hey, it was late!
We did get a snow day today. It was mostly an ice day, but it was nice not having to get up early and get out of the toasty bed. :)
I've got to work tomorrow at the cross stitch shop, so I'm getting my outfit ready tonight. I'm gonna take my camera to try and sneak some pictures for y'all!

More Pictures..........

Finally....new pictures of our Christmas

My Dad saved the day by taking pictures. I remembered the camera, but forgot the memory card for the camera. Baby Alora is a sweet pea, very happy baby. We had alot of fun over at my parents' house. Good food, great company and a closeness that makes our family special. Picture heavy my friends!
On the shop end, our grand opening was huge. We were so busy! It was an exciting day for me. Someone from North Carolina recognised me as DaisyGirl! How cool was that! I felt like a rockstar! I work again this Saturday, I'm thinking it will also be busy as our grand opening because of stitchers who work or teach, they wouldn't have had a chance to come on Monday. No Tammy, I didn't open a cross stitch shop, my friend Terrie opened her cross stitch shop and I'm lucky to get to work there! :)
They say it's gonna snow tonight here in GA, but I doubt it! So most likely not gonna get a snow day. :(

Grand Opening at the Stitch Store!

I'm almost ready for tomorrow. I need to iron my clothes so I can be ready in the morning. Jacob helped me get all the marshmallows ready with toothpicks. We are having a chocolate fountain and we are gonna have marshmallows, strawberries, plus petite'a fours, little sandwiches, I am making egg salad sandwiches plus pumpkin bread. It's gonna be a party at the Stitch Store.
So if your nearby, drop by and visit the shop. We have worked hard to get the shop ready. It's gonna be an exciting day. Wish us luck friends! Hope to blog tomorrow!

Where have I been?

Life certainly doesn’t stop, does it?  I have missed my blog, yet I wasn’t such a great steward of it these past long years. I was sucked ...
