Look what I made! My first biscornu!

It was sent to Goldie! I just checked the SBEBB, and she left a message that she received it! Yea! I know she loves it. I do too! I almost didn't want to send it! But I did!

Poor Bony! I picked him up from the vet this morning. He had surgery yesterday to get neutered and declawed. The only cat that is not declawed is Boo boo Kitty, as he was too old to change his rambling ways when he adopted us.

Bony is quite under the weather right now. I've been carrying him around as much as I can today to give his paws a rest. Poor baby. I'll take pictures later when he gets up.

I've started on Hannah's Halloween rr. I finished Wendy's Quaker RR. That will be going in the mail this week to Valerie.

NOW I MUST VENT!

THIS IS TO A STUPID ADMINISTRATION! DACULA HIGH!

My son Jacob was given in school suspension for knitting! Yes, you heard me right. Knitting! I have had major support from 3 teachers who say I should fight this, and fight this I will! I think I would rather the teachers be willing to help put the bullies, the violent kids(yes, there are violent kids at our school) the trouble makers in suspension, but NO, they have chosen to make my son Jacob an example. But this Momma don't play this stupid little game! So first thing Monday, Jacob and I and his knitting supplies will be up at the school ready to appeal this suspension.

What makes this silly is that 4 band members already knit during breaks and bus trips. So of course this will put a damper on the kids that wanted me to teach them how to knit too. Jeez! I wish I could afford a private school!

What is this world coming too? They are gonna wish they hadn't messed with me! Jacob is an honor student, top 5% of his class, already has 3 college credits to his name, Allstate Honors Band, Boy Scout who is working on his Eagle Rank, and of course Symphonic Band and Marching Band. Helps build houses for Habitat for Humanity for goodness sake. I refuse to let this school system railroad him into having a permanent record that will follow him to college. This Momma is mad!

Alright Momma, calm down, breathe!

You would not think that this household sees this much drama! But, alas it does! Just think how it would be if there was a girl living here too. I wonder if other teens parents experience all the turmoil too? I don't remember it being like this when I was a teen? maybe it was, I only remember certain parts of the teen years!

At least they are gonna let Jacob go to Homecoming Dance. He will look very handsome, I'll take pictures later tonight of him dressed up snazzy.

Well, I'll give everyone a break from the ramble!

Look at my spooky goodys!

Michelle(Arthemise) was my SBEBB Halloween exchange partner, look at what she made for me. She cross stitched a Helga design and made me a basket lid! It looks wonderful! Her Momma made me some cute place mats which are being used as we speak! What a great exchange!

I mailed my package today to my secret Halloween Exchange partner. I sure hope she likes it! It is a first for me!

We had a competition meet on Saturday. What a day! We got Superior in Overall Band, Drumline, and Drum Major. We got an Excellent for our Colorguard. So getting that excellent bumped us from winning the big trophy. The band kids were alittle upset at the colorguard. Oh well, try again next year.

Look what I got!

Joan had my name for Ornament Halloween Exchange! I love it! I've got it hanging from my Mr. Bones! I have mailed my ornie to Joan, so hopefully she should get it in a day or two. I can't wait to show everyone what I stitched for her!

Halloween is one of my favorite holiday to decorate for. Check out my mantel! My Momma got me an early Christmas present, a new Marie Osmond doll for Halloween! I love her! She is a ghost this year! Perfect for my mantel.

Thank you Momma! I love you!

Edgar's MAW is going in the mail tomorrow! I know he will love it! Can't wait to show that picture! The SBEBB Halloween exchange will be in the mail later this week. Most likely on Friday. I've been very busy with exchanges. I just can't seem to say no to signing up for more exchanges. I've signed up for Reindeer games, Thanksgiving Ornie, haven't signed up for a Christmas one yet, but I know I will.

I've got to get busy and start supper!

Good golly, where did the time go?

I have been so remiss lately. I can't believe I haven't blogged in over a week. Egads!

Well, I'll try to quickly bring everyone up to speed with the goings on of the Bennett

clan.

Band, band, band!

I've also coming out of a relapse or a spell from my PA. I had horrible back spasms plus my trigger finger joined in the fun. Shot in the hand, hand better. Started Enbrel. So here's hoping that this medication will help with the stiffness and fatigue of PA.

My Dad's birthday! Happy Birthday Daddy!

I'm ready to send my Halloween Ornie Exchange. I'm so pleased with the end result. Can't wait to show pictures of that one.

I'll leave with a small thought for the day.......Don't hug a child who has just sneezed! (Or at least pay attention before hugging!)

Smiles,

Halloween is coming!!!!!!!!!

Quaker Pics and Pets

Here is what I've got done so far on my Quaker RR. This design has stitched up pretty fast I think! I'm loving the pretty purple I chose.

Bony is growing so quickly and is a love bubble. Every night (seriously!) he hops up on the bed and gets right up in my neck and purrs himself to sleep. Now, let me tell you, he purrs like a freight train. It is so loud that John complains. The vet seems to feel that I'm his surrogate mommy and that's why he had picked me. I tried very hard not to be the one he imprinted on because Jacob wanted to be the one, but, he chose me. He's such a sweet kitty. Very playful and loves to sit with me while I stitch. I normally have Daisy behind me on the couch back, she drapes around my shoulders and Bony on my lap. here lately I don't seem to have alot of free stitching time because they want attention. Poor little dears, they get lonely during the school day I guess.

Well, I'll keep this one short! Have a great evening friends!

Go Jason!

I'm one proud Momma! Jason was baptized tonight at church! As soon as I can get Jacob to show me how to put the video together, I'll put it up on my blog. He was so proud of himself. The church that he goes to is very youth oriented. I say, if you can get my son into church then you are doing the right thing! The boys both love church. Now if only Momma could find peace again in church. God's working on me, I know he is, just got to find where he wants me to be.
I'm working on the Quaker RR, I'll post pictures tomorrow. I've got to assemble Halloween Ornament, so soon I'll be able to post a picture.
Fall is coming! I felt it in the air this morning! Yeah! I am longing for my sweaters again. Plus my wooly!
Sorry no pictures!
Thanks for the comment on looking young Anna! You made my day!

Fun night at the fair!

Every year my hubby takes me to the fair. We had such a fun time, this year we met up with my brother Patrick and his girlfriend Beverly. We didn't ride any rides, but just walked around looking at exhibits and eating fair food! Yummy! I won this monkey for my Momma. ( Well, I paid the money for the monkey instead of fishing for him.) Then Sunday John took me out to Red Lobster. One of our favorite places to eat!

On a more somber note, John's sister is in the hospital. Her MS complicates matters, so we are hoping that she gets out by Tuesday. She's been in since Thursday of last week.

On the stitching front, I've almost finished my Halloween Ornament Exchange piece. I've got to assemble Edgar's MAW and get it sent off in the mail, so no stitchy pictures just yet!

My son Jason is dealing with a kidney stone too, we are stone producers! Both my boys now have been dealt a stone, plus all the stones I've passed! I've passed 42 since 1994! That's very bad. I've passed on a tendency to produce stones to my kids! Sorry guys! Now you know what Momma goes through!

Busy week ahead, we did lose our football game again. The team is very inexperienced as we lost alot of seniors last year.

Hoping everyone has a great week!

PS: Ignore the spot on my shirt, I spilled my rootbeer float on myself! I just hope it washes out!

A Prayful Tribute

Please pray for all the families that lost someone during this fateful day. America's spirit was tested, but we stood strong! Let's not forget today and remember to teach peace to our children so that they will not forget.

Amen.

Newsy Update!

Well, we lost again. but, the band sounded better than the first game! We have an away game Friday.

I worked all weekend on completing 140 wedding invitations. Whew! Glad they are done. Tiffany wanted something simple and elegant. This is what she choose for me to make. I think they turned out nice. Justin was happy I went with navy blue instead of grey. The grey looked too washed out. I don't know if the sparkle will show up. Each invite has a blue rhinestone as an accent.

Working on exchanges, small progress since I worked mostly on the invites.

Well, hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to stitch more.

I've been over the moon trying to find a Tilda book, Su has made the cutest little bears! I love them! I want to make them for my nieces!

So off for me tonight! Did anyone see the new show on HBO? TrueBlood? I'm hooked! I love vampire stories, so this is right up my alley! I'm a closet Goth! haha

See ya friends!

First football game.......

We didn't win. 23 - 15. But, the band sounded awesome!!!!!! Ask me if I really pay attention to the football games? Nah, I spend my whole game directing kids to the bathroom, putting on plumes for half-time, water breaks, instrument checks. I don't really have time for the football game. This game was away, this Friday's game will be a home game. Insanity! We play Collins Hill! It will be very crowded for that game! I've got 3 uniforms that need repaired. So I have until Thursday to get them fixed. Mostly it will be sewing on snaps now. The kids wear a sequin vestie under their uniform that snaps to the bib. Most of the youngun's just rip, instead of slowly removing the vestie. So.....that means I sew snaps every game.
I am stitching on a exchange! I'm making Edgar's wish. I need to send on Vonna's Halloween RR . So I'll be visiting the post office tomorrow!
I'm outta here! I'm gonna try to walk alittle tonight!

Where have I been?

Life certainly doesn’t stop, does it?  I have missed my blog, yet I wasn’t such a great steward of it these past long years. I was sucked ...
