Stitching finally taking place.....

Wahoo! Stitching as fast as I can. I'm behind on round robins, so I'm trying to catch up. I repeat, I will not do the devil's horn again! Aggggg! Who ever designed those boggers needs flogged! hahaha!

Hoping to finish the devil's horns tomorrow. Cross your fingers friends!

I am back to feeling better, had my meds adjusted so I don't feel like a zombie and just want to sleep. Which isn't too bad, but I do have to feed the family, do the dishes, yada yada yada. I need a live in maid. Then she or he can do all my chores while I do what I like best. Cross stitch!

It is count down to graduation. I swear if Jason doesn't cause me heart failure first. I will be happy to take a D in Physics. How many of you use Physics in your normal day to day life? I don't! So how can I help him? I can't, so it's up to the tutors.

Well, I must go and continue my devil's horns.

Have a good night everybody!

I'm tired........

How can it be nine days since I last posted? Why is it, when you need to be at the top of your game, everything goes to hell? This past week has been very tiring. I've had to go in early, I've had a relapse of my stinking RA. I pretty much sleep the weekend, much to my husband's dismay. WHY< WHY ARE YOU SO TIRED? I really get tired of telling everyone. Can't I please just crash and recoup my strength without feeling guilty? I pretty much know the people I want to see this blog will never see it, so it's just blowing off steam :(
To all my stitching buddies=Please forgive me, I know I'm late with 2 RR's, Ill work extra hard this week to catch up. I'm never late, so that's what bothers me the most. I'd come home from school and pretty much hit the bed, drag myself up to make dinner, make a small attempt to eat and whoohoo the bed is calling me! Hey I don't need any type of sleep assistant at all!
So no stitching what so ever this past week:(
Hoping for a better week!

Hoorah for Jason!

Jason's graduation day is May 21st. At 10:00am in the morning! I know I'm not the only parent who is alittle perturbed with the time. My main concern is that none of my family will be able to come due to work issues. I feel like Charlie Brown! AHHHHHHHHHH

But that still will not get us down! We got our senior invitations yesterday! I'll post a picture of them later. He's got his cap and gown and tassel! I need to order one of those big banners that you put up in your yard that says congrats to the graduating senior. I tell ya friends, I didn't think this day would come. And let me shout out to certain teachers and resource teachers "He did make it!" I tell you what, if I'd listened to his special ed teacher in the first grade, we would not be here today! We need to get our cap and gown pictures made next week!

I'm so proud that Jason will graduate on time and guess this.......he wants to go to college! He got an acceptance letter to GA Gwinnett College(they are part of the UGA/Bulldogs college). I think he's starting to see things with a clearer mind since his breaking off his friendship with his potsmoking friends. That's a whole other story which I won't bore you with details!

So here's looking at you kid! I love you son!

Momma gets to come home!

Hooray! Hooray! My Mommy comes home! I know she is happy and so is my Dad. My Dad is so sweet, he hovers over her, my Dad treats my Momma like a Queen. Which she is! Our main goal is to keep her out of the hospital. I'm going over to their house later this morning to check up on her. Let's hope her new mask for the Bi-pap(don't know if this is the correct spelling) works out for her. Since her time in the hospital, she's had to use that machine to help push oxygen in her lungs while she sleeps. So now she will use it at home. She's been more alert than ever before. I'm so glad she's home.
I'm terribly behind on stitching, I did try stitching at the hospital while I sat with Momma, but ever since I got my needlework system frame, I couldn't get used to holding the Q-Snap.
It's 3:30am in the morning and I can't sleep, I hate it because I know I'll be tired in the morning. I've got a couple of pictures to post later. I might as well use this time to stitch instead of web browsing.
See ya!

I'm thankful for my Momma!

Update on my Momma.

Thanks to everyone who kept my Mommy in their prayers. She is still in the hospital, but she is fighting to get better. They prematurely took my Momma off the IV drips and then decided that she needed more assistance. Bless her heart, I know she is just worn out by all the nurses and respiratory coming in to check on her. But those nurses are very kind and I love the one nurse. She praises God every time she comes in Momma's room. She was one of the first nurses to see her on the 2nd of April. She has a lovely attitude and it brightens my Momma's day. Bless my brother Patrick for giving himself so selflessly. My brother takes care my parents everyday. Thank you Patrick! I love you bro!
I did get a little start on Carol's Quaker RR. I'll take it with me tomorrow when I visit Mommy.
We are on spring break this week, so I'm thankful that I'll not need to worry about missing work to spend time with my Mommy while she gets better in the hospital.
Well I'm off to try to stitch for a little while.

I'm thankful for caring nurses!

Quick Post

I had to meet my brother late last night at the ER. My mommy (she will always be mommy to me) was struggling to breathe. She has Emphysema and is on oxygen always. She's got pneumonia
and is not feeling well at all. When we got her to the ER, her oxygen level was 86, not very good at all. Today it is back up to 91, which is what her saturation level is normally.
I may not get a chance to be on much, I'm gonna sit up at the hospital with her this weekend.
I'm so glad that they didn't put her on life support this time. Last time she was in the hospital she was. I am so happy that the meds and breathing treatments are working.
Well friends , it is late and I'm sleep deprived, so off to bed for me!

I'm thankful for my mommy!

I've got to get busy.......

A few more Disney photos!

I need to get my booty in gear and starting stitching. I've got Carol's and Valerie's RR's in my basket of need to do now! Both are gorgeous and pretty! Love the colors. It has been neat seeing every one's color and linen choices. I'll post pictures of both of them tomorrow. My camera battery is needing to recharge itself. I think I might need a new battery.

Jacob's birthday is Friday. Not sure yet on if he's gonna have a get together this weekend or wait until spring break.

I've tried twice to put that video up in the blog. I'll try again today. I'm afraid it's too big for blogger. So we will see whether or not it will work. I so want everyone to see the band marching at Disney!

Spring break is next week and I'm planning on getting both the Quaker RR's finished and finish up my Ornie exchange.

Hope everybody is doing good and having a great day. I normally don't preach to people about faith or church issues, but Sunday's sermon kind of kicked me in the rear. I need to give gratitude to God, and pause for outsiders. How many times have I turned the other way when I could have helped out. I need not to be afraid to talk about my faith.

Are you stagnant? I have been and I plan to stand firm and really get back in church. I've just been floating around in the same pond and I need to change the water! Hope this doesn't offend anyone, but life is short and I want to live my life and give thanks to God for allowing me this life that I have!

Every now and then I might plant a seed of faith in my blog!

Happy night to everybody!

Another death in the family................

John's first cousin Jesse passed away on Thursday. He was 47, he died of 3 brain aneurysms. John and Jessie grew up right next door to each other. He was John's buddy, scout mate, best
friend and as he was growing up, his partner in crime. hahahaha His life was quickly snuffed out before his time. Jesse did request to be an organ donor and hopefully someone else will be given a second chance at life.
The funeral will be tomorrow, so I might not get a chance to blog.
No stitching has gotten done at all :(

More Disney Pictures!

Kyle is such a clown! Very fun to be around!

I am happy to be home, I finally got to stitch yesterday. I did take some stitching with me on the bus ride. But that proved harder to do than I thought. I sat at the back of the bus near the bathroom, and every bump or jump made me prick my fingers. So I ended up just reading my magazine.
Since I am so far behind on my stitching, this weekend I'm gonna pull a all weekender of stitching. I've got the next Quaker ready to start. I'm tackling the horns this time! Hope I don't have to frog too much! (hahaha)
My Daisy and Butters were both lost without me. They turned to John for lap time. He says he doesn't like animals much, but let me tell you this, he's an old softie at heart.
Enjoy more pictures! I'm gonna try to add the video, so hopefully I'll get it loaded without too much problem.
Spring break is just around the corner! I'm looking forward to some me time!

Hugs to all my friends!

A whirl wind blew through my house! Heavy post!

(This is my motley crew!)
<<<<<<<

Well, for starters, I am ok, just totally blown out tired. Remember our band trip? to Walt Disney? Wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just that it took me almost two whole weeks of sewing and repairing uniforms, packing 55 uniforms, making sure every teen had the following, black socks, sequins, hat boxes, black gloves and last but not least, marching shoes! Whew! That was more than one person could stand! But did I quiver? No! I over came mountains of whines from students: Mama Bennett(that's what my kids call me) I can't find my sequins! I forgot my socks! Let's just say that Daniel better love me forever! I wear a size 6 shoe, he wears a size 12, that poor boy borrowed my Jacob's socks and then Jacob wore mine. My snap fell off! Can you sew it back on? My pants split! Horray for iron on patches!
I will say that I loved every minute of these last three weeks! After Jacob graduates high school next year, what am I gonna do? No one will need me! Egads! I'll have to follow Jacob to college!
Also my duties were Band Nurse, since I am the only one who has a certified first aid card, which I have to renew this summer. My hotel room had to have a refrigerator! Wahoo for cold Mountain Dew! I had to keep medication drops refrigged for one young man. (This poor guy is allergic to everything!
I walked blisters on both of the pads and soles of my feet! I was ready to come home on Monday.
I am so blessed that I was able to spend this time with my Jacob and his best friends. The whole trip was perfect, great weather, good kids, only one kid passed out on me this trip! ( That's a whole other post!) Disney is awesome! It makes me wish that my other son Jason could have gone with us.
I'm gonna try to put the video of the band marching in the parade around the Magic Castle! Jacob will have to help me on that one. I filled a 2meg memory card full of pictures.
As for stitching? Shame on me! No stitching, bad girl! Ulla, I did get my rr mailed out to you!
I will have to to do pictures over the next few days, since Blogger will only allow so many!
More tomorrow friends! I am so glad to be home!

Where have I been?

Life certainly doesn’t stop, does it?  I have missed my blog, yet I wasn’t such a great steward of it these past long years. I was sucked ...
