3 weeks of non weight bearing on the right leg!

Omg! It's Day 3 and I'm stir crazy! Lol
At least I do have my wheelchair now and crutches so that will help. I had my PRP procedure via CT/Ultrasound on Monday afternoon. I must be a turnip, it took the hospital lab tech 11 try's to draw my stem cells. Finally after an hour of being stabbed and bled, they took what they were able to get and off to the centriufe they went. One hour later they got me set up on the table and got me ready, I have to say, it hurt pretty bad! They don't give you anything due to the risk of meds changing the stem cells, afterward, they gave me something to help with the pain. Now to keep weight off the hamstring for 3 weeks.
Tomorrow will be spent starting a new knitting project, baby booties for my niece's baby shower gift. So cross my fingers I can knit in time!

First ever knitted Cowl!

My first ever knitted cowl! Sweet! I bought this yarn from the Yarn Garden in downtown Lawrenceville. I wished I remembered the name and brand of the yarn! Lol
It is very soft and cozy feeling!
Looks like I'll be getting to sit and knit a lot soon. My results from my MRI are bad news. :(
I have torn 2 of my hamstring tendons from the sit bone. :( totally pulled them off my butt bone! Ugh! Next up is 2 PRP injections in the hamstring region and hope for healing to start, they do the PRP injections one at a time, truthfully, they are horrible! The one I had in August put me down for 5 days! John had to help pick me up, the ortho doc wants to try this first before he decides to cut me open, cause if I have to do that route, I'll be in a leg brace for 6 weeks, then rehab. Ugh!
Who would have ever though this would knock me out for the game! Pray friends, I'm despondent and depressed about not being able to just hop up and go do what I want.

How I rang in the New Year!

Totally loving this yarn! It is very soft and cozy! Hand dyed too, in my favorite colors! It will be a cowl when finished!

Happy New Year's Day Y'all!

My New Year's Resolution.................

To be a better friend, a better blogger, a better wife, a better Momma, all I can do is try :)

2013 has been a hard year for me physically, emotionally and it has been very tiring. I have been injured and my PsA/Sjogrens Syndrome has caused me many anxious days of grief! Ugh!

Torn hamstring has been the bane of my existence since May. I never thought that exercising would have done me in! lol I haven't been able to really get back to exercising in months. I just had another MRI yesterday and go back on the 3rd, with hopefully good news!

I am trying to knit more as it doesn't seem to cause the eye strain. I miss my cross stitch so bad, I can't see the holes in the linen very well, the blurriness is getting worse and it makes me sad.

Hubby is in SC again, and this is a quiet night here in Dacula! I'm trying my best to stay awake for the New Years dropping of the ball!

Hugs,

Where does the time go?

I am such a bad blogger! So much has occurred and I am overwhelmed! Y'all know I had some hip issues and well, ended up having to have a procedure on the hip in August. I struggled thru the surgery and the post op period, it was an experimental procedure called PRP injection. Lets just say, I may not do the second one! Lol. They take your blood and centrifuge it, then they inject that back into the injured area and cross your fingers! No pain meds to help ease the pain of trying to reach the hip joint, plus I had to be free of all my PsA/Sjogrens meds for 7 days before the procedure. So I'm sure you can guess, a flare occurred and the pain was horrible. It's been 3 and a half weeks and I still can't sleep on my right side! Ugh! Rehab is ordered, but John has been out of work for 15 weeks, and I just can't afford my 55 dollar copay twice a week! Double ugh!
Keep your fingers crossed that his company gets the bid! They've been told they have about a week's worth, just waiting to see if they win the next job bid!
Thank goodness we did have money saved, but our account is getting pretty skinny! Lol
One to good news though, I won a $50 gift certificate at Laurel's Stitchery shop online! I've waited until after market to shop so I can get some of the newest goodies that are out there!
The bottom pic is after surgery and I didn't dare show the pic with tears!
My dogs Huckleberry and Wally have kept me company during my recovery time! I'm finally back to work, but work is helping me out when I have to mop the floors! Thanks to a great cafe staff that really does like me :)
This is so long, that I'll break for now and post more later!
Hugs from me!

My summer is drifting away......

It's been totally crazy how time just keeps slipping away! I know I have been very busy and man I need a break! I worked so hard to get my sister in law to be's pool up and running, 2 weeks of almost non stop work, and I can proudly say "it's ready"!
We surprised my brother for his 44th birthday by having a pool party, he really was surprised!
Onto the stitching front! I'm working on the Hometown Holiday village series from LHN, my goal is to have at least 3 to 4 completed by Christmas time for my mantel!
Health wise I'm doing fine except for the pesky PsA/Srogrens Syndrome that plagues me. I have developed bursitis in my hip, physical therapy is tough, it hurts! I have been advised that I shouldn't walk anymore! What the heck! I can swim ( but to do that I gotta drive 30 minutes one way ), I can buy a bicycle, but I just spent money on a new elliptical machine!
All I know is arthritis is very mean and I hate it! Ok, my pitiful vent is over!
Good news though, my son Jason has got engaged to Aliyiah, I fear I may have mis spelled her name! It will be a long engagement since she is on a mission trip to Africa. Time will tell! But she makes my son very happy and that's all that matters! They tease me by telling me they are gonna give me Oreo babies! I told them, I love Oreos, but they need to wait before any grandchildren are brought in this world! I'm not ready to be a Nana! Lol
Here's a few pics from the weekend! Enjoy and hugs from DaisyGirl!

Summer fun in St. Augustine!

What a nice trip, even though it rained everyday except for Monday! Lol
We had a really great time, very relaxing, I loved the hot tub! I was in that sucker every night! :)
Did I cross stitch at all down there? Just a tiny bit! Not much, cause I kept falling asleep on that luxurious bed! It made us realize that we need a new mattress !
Here's a few pictures of our trip!

Happy Mother's Day!

It's been a good here! The boys got me chocolate, grilled dinner for me and did my dishes! I cut the grass too! It was my workout for the day :)
We are down to 8 more days of school and I'm getting excited! Wahoo for me!
We are heading back to St. Augustine again! We leave for Florida on June 2nd, so I gotta get as much sun as possible cause I will burn if I don't! Tanning bed here I come!

Where have I been?

Life certainly doesn’t stop, does it?  I have missed my blog, yet I wasn’t such a great steward of it these past long years. I was sucked ...
