Quaker RR ready to ship.....

Just a quick look at Carol's Quaker RR. It is finished and ready to ship to Valerie. Yeah!

Glad for that, I opened up Valerie's RR to see hers, boohoo boohoo! I get to do those horrible devils horns again on hers! :( Oh well, it's not the end of the world.
John is on a temporary lay off, so he's home for the coming week. I'm looking forward to him being home. Maybe we can do something together, take a day trip, just the two of us.
Here's a look at my flowers, these are my African violets and my orchids. They do so well in my bay window in my kitchen. I'm wanting another little window shelf up above so I can have more plants. (Truthfully I kill any other plants that John brings me. But the violets and orchids must love my kind of abuse, because they continue to bloom and grow!)

We are grilling out baby back ribs. I need to make either mac and cheese or potato salad. Either one is tasty!
Off to lay down! My back is bothering me today! (I keep trying to tell John that sweeping and mopping the floors are harmful to me! ) hahahahaha

Hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend! I know I'm gonna try to do nothing!

Just alittle bit more........

I'm still over the moon friends. I am so proud and happy I could burst! I'll show you a couple of pictures from yesterday's party. Our house was packed, over 30 showed up for his graduation party!!! I know a few of them read my blog, so I just want to shout out a heartfelt THANK YOU for caring about Jason and making his party extra special!

John and my brother Patrick grilled out 30 hamburgers, 40 hotdogs and I'm not even gonna tell you how many cases of Coke products we went thru.

It's Sunday and the house is so quiet, both boys are out hanging with their friends. Dacula hosts a parade every year, and John and I normally go to the festival after the parade. When the boys were younger and in scouts, we'd march in the parade. So I'm hoping that it will quit raining for tomorrow and we can celebrate Memorial Day.

Well since I finally have some down time, I'm gonna go stitch!

Happy Day,

This was a labor of love for me, going through my hope chest just about did me in friends! An to think I will be doing this all over again next year with Jacob! :)

Almost there......

Sorry friends that I have been a bad blogger. I never in my mind would have thought that a graduating senior would have totally taken over my life. Everyday is a new drama for us.
1. First of we thought Jason wouldn't make it due to failing Physics grade, so it was a daily chore to keep after him to study!
2. Next was his telling us, I want to quit. Heaven forbid.
3. Then it was his I'm moving out!!!! (Over my dead body!)
4. Then graduation invitations. Did he address one envelope? NO! He says to me, you are the ones that wants it! OMG, what was I to do? So I sent out the invitations myself.
5. He does not go to the Baccalaureate Dinner, broke my heart concerning that one.
6. We hang a sign out in the yard for him, hoping that would encourage him.
7. Hope prevails, he wants to graduate now. Friends help boost his morale. Thank you Lord.
8. Fast forward to today: Your son has lost his Sociology book, he won't walk unless we pay the $65 fine. I will be paying that fine tomorrow. Tomorrow is graduation practice.
Friends please continue to pray to keep this stressed out Momma from having a freakin heart attack!
Thursday is graduation! Cross your fingers!

As to stitching, I finished those devil's horns! Finally, I need to email Edgar to figure out who to send to. Need to buckle down on Friday to get this linen in the mail.
How can one life be so totally demanding and insane? I am on empty friends, plus my hubby is totally upset also with Jason's graduation woes. Keep us in your thoughts.

Stitching finally taking place.....

Wahoo! Stitching as fast as I can. I'm behind on round robins, so I'm trying to catch up. I repeat, I will not do the devil's horn again! Aggggg! Who ever designed those boggers needs flogged! hahaha!

Hoping to finish the devil's horns tomorrow. Cross your fingers friends!

I am back to feeling better, had my meds adjusted so I don't feel like a zombie and just want to sleep. Which isn't too bad, but I do have to feed the family, do the dishes, yada yada yada. I need a live in maid. Then she or he can do all my chores while I do what I like best. Cross stitch!

It is count down to graduation. I swear if Jason doesn't cause me heart failure first. I will be happy to take a D in Physics. How many of you use Physics in your normal day to day life? I don't! So how can I help him? I can't, so it's up to the tutors.

Well, I must go and continue my devil's horns.

Have a good night everybody!

I'm tired........

How can it be nine days since I last posted? Why is it, when you need to be at the top of your game, everything goes to hell? This past week has been very tiring. I've had to go in early, I've had a relapse of my stinking RA. I pretty much sleep the weekend, much to my husband's dismay. WHY< WHY ARE YOU SO TIRED? I really get tired of telling everyone. Can't I please just crash and recoup my strength without feeling guilty? I pretty much know the people I want to see this blog will never see it, so it's just blowing off steam :(
To all my stitching buddies=Please forgive me, I know I'm late with 2 RR's, Ill work extra hard this week to catch up. I'm never late, so that's what bothers me the most. I'd come home from school and pretty much hit the bed, drag myself up to make dinner, make a small attempt to eat and whoohoo the bed is calling me! Hey I don't need any type of sleep assistant at all!
So no stitching what so ever this past week:(
Hoping for a better week!

ps: I'm starting Humira tonight Tammy!

Hoorah for Jason!

Jason's graduation day is May 21st. At 10:00am in the morning! I know I'm not the only parent who is alittle perturbed with the time. My main concern is that none of my family will be able to come due to work issues. I feel like Charlie Brown! AHHHHHHHHHH

But that still will not get us down! We got our senior invitations yesterday! I'll post a picture of them later. He's got his cap and gown and tassel! I need to order one of those big banners that you put up in your yard that says congrats to the graduating senior. I tell ya friends, I didn't think this day would come. And let me shout out to certain teachers and resource teachers "He did make it!" I tell you what, if I'd listened to his special ed teacher in the first grade, we would not be here today! We need to get our cap and gown pictures made next week!

I'm so proud that Jason will graduate on time and guess this.......he wants to go to college! He got an acceptance letter to GA Gwinnett College(they are part of the UGA/Bulldogs college). I think he's starting to see things with a clearer mind since his breaking off his friendship with his potsmoking friends. That's a whole other story which I won't bore you with details!

So here's looking at you kid! I love you son!

Momma gets to come home!

Hooray! Hooray! My Mommy comes home! I know she is happy and so is my Dad. My Dad is so sweet, he hovers over her, my Dad treats my Momma like a Queen. Which she is! Our main goal is to keep her out of the hospital. I'm going over to their house later this morning to check up on her. Let's hope her new mask for the Bi-pap(don't know if this is the correct spelling) works out for her. Since her time in the hospital, she's had to use that machine to help push oxygen in her lungs while she sleeps. So now she will use it at home. She's been more alert than ever before. I'm so glad she's home.
I'm terribly behind on stitching, I did try stitching at the hospital while I sat with Momma, but ever since I got my needlework system frame, I couldn't get used to holding the Q-Snap.
It's 3:30am in the morning and I can't sleep, I hate it because I know I'll be tired in the morning. I've got a couple of pictures to post later. I might as well use this time to stitch instead of web browsing.
See ya!

I'm thankful for my Momma!

Update on my Momma.

Thanks to everyone who kept my Mommy in their prayers. She is still in the hospital, but she is fighting to get better. They prematurely took my Momma off the IV drips and then decided that she needed more assistance. Bless her heart, I know she is just worn out by all the nurses and respiratory coming in to check on her. But those nurses are very kind and I love the one nurse. She praises God every time she comes in Momma's room. She was one of the first nurses to see her on the 2nd of April. She has a lovely attitude and it brightens my Momma's day. Bless my brother Patrick for giving himself so selflessly. My brother takes care my parents everyday. Thank you Patrick! I love you bro!
I did get a little start on Carol's Quaker RR. I'll take it with me tomorrow when I visit Mommy.
We are on spring break this week, so I'm thankful that I'll not need to worry about missing work to spend time with my Mommy while she gets better in the hospital.
Well I'm off to try to stitch for a little while.

I'm thankful for caring nurses!

Where have I been?

Life certainly doesn’t stop, does it?  I have missed my blog, yet I wasn’t such a great steward of it these past long years. I was sucked ...
