Update on Round Robin and unexpected news!

I worked till midnight last night on my rr. I almost finished the bridge. Hope to finish at least bridge and tree tonight. I had to have a new Q Snap in a bigger size, I love them! So easy to use and no marks on the linen. I chose the 11" square size. I have a 6" size for smaller things also.

Now, for the unexpected news, most of you recall me posting about Jason's friend Angelyn, I made her a graduation piece, well I really like this young lady, very sweet, well she is pregnant. Bless her heart, she worried that I would think poorly of her. Well, Angelyn, I know this is not what you planned, life happens and I told her I would help her out if I could. She has decided to keep the baby, thank you Lord! Jason feels the need to protect her, I told him that her boyfriend should protect her and we hope he will be a active part in the baby's life. Her parents of course are standing behind their daughter. They were understanding and so far, every thing is ok.

Needless to say, I had to start knitting a baby blanket, I knit very slowly, so I figured I'll have the baby blanket done by February.

I would love to knit some booties, but I'm a beginning knitter so not sure about those just yet. The yarn is so soft, it lured me over to the yarn table today at Hobby Lobby!

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Handsome son AND a handsome RR :)
Hope all goes well with your son's friend and the baby. That's a lot to deal with at such a young age.

Your RR is looking great (love the bear). That is wonderful that Angelyn has people to help support and encourage her, she'll need all the support she can get. Good luck with the baby blanket.

Good luck with the baby blanket, hopefully you'll have better luck than I am having with sewing! I'm sure anything you make her will be appreciated. She's very lucky to have you in her life.

Where have I been?

Life certainly doesn’t stop, does it?  I have missed my blog, yet I wasn’t such a great steward of it these past long years. I was sucked ...
